Brenda Hawer has followed a career in both music education and music journalism, for many years combining the position of Head of Music at Agnes Stewart C of E High School in Leeds with an appointment as Music Critic for the Yorkshire Evening Post newspaper.
For the past 19 years she has also been Musical Director for a female voice choir the Lawnswood Singers. For many years she studied piano with Alan Soulsby, gaining pianoforte diplomas and was also a member of the Leeds Festival Chorus |
