The Amici Singers are a mixed voice choir based in Leeds, West Yorkshire.An enthusiastic community choir, the Amici Singers have helped a large number of organisations raise money for a variety of causes over the years. If you are raising money for a charity or cause, or if you would like a musical accompaniment to a party or social, you too can book the choir. The Amici Singers have had a very successful season culminating in a singing holiday in Northumberland, a joint concert with the Lawnswood singers at St. Stephen's, Kirkstall and a last Amici concert at St Margaret's, Horsforth on July 19th. The Northumberland holiday included three concerts in churches in Gosforth, Morpeth and Belford, all of which raised substantial sums for either charities or church repairs. Days out around the lovely countryside were also enjoyed by the forty people who came on the holiday. In June 2009 we are having a long weekend in Derbyshire and are already looking forward to that and making plans for it. The new season starts on September 18th at Adel Methodist Church and new members, whether beginners or experienced singers, are more than welcome to come and try us out without obligation. |
